Meet the First Grade Teachers at Mountain Shadows Elementary School
Mrs. Couture has been teaching at Mountain Shadows for 10 years. She has taught Kindergarten and First grade. She received her Bachelors of Education Degree, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, from Arizona State University. She received her Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Educational Technology at Arizona State University. Mrs. Couture has a Technology endorsement, a Reading endorsement, and an SEI endorsement. She is an Arizona native. She has been married for 25 years and she and her husband have three sons.

This is Ms. Haberers' third year teaching first grade. She graduated from ASU West, and she is continuing her education in reading. She has had experience in Kindergarten and first through third multiage. First grade is her favorite grade to teach because she loves the tremendous growth of students and sharing their experiences. She is looking forward to teaching at Mountain Shadows and being a part of the school?s community.

Mrs. Amber Marklund has been teaching for fourteen years. Prior to teaching at Mountain Shadows, she taught third and fourth grade in the Peoria School District. Mrs. Marklund enjoys teaching first grade and loves working with a strong and energetic team of first grade teachers.
